I was chuckling all the way through this wonderful tale. The narrative moves along with speed and agility, characters are rich and memorable, settings bedecked with imagery and plenty of surprises along the way.
Genies follow their own rules, not those of science. And is that a hint of romance in the air? Author Alexander skilfully builds up suspense and action, linking the ancient past and modern present with eloquent ease.
A joy to read, and as the plot evolved, I just didn't want it to end! But end it must, and in quite a satisfying way. This story left me with a smile, and armed me with plenty of information about the mindset of genies, should I encounter one of my own. Highly recommended!
