The Strange Vibes Horror & Weird Fiction Podcast is a new project. For chills and thrills, we'll be broadcasting once a week at 9-9:30pm Sunday nite, to give you an eerie earful of the mad, macabre, darkly comedic and just plain weird. Episode 1 rolls out March 29, so keep an eye on Sylvia's Substack (free to subscribe and get Strange Vibes right in your in-boo-x), or check the Strange Vibes Podcast broadcast page for up-to-date episode info.
Transcriptions available free.
This is a free podcast for the entertainment of listeners, and forging a strong author/listener connection. There's nothing like hearing authors read their own brilliant tales of tumult and terror, or a dramatic narration, to keep your spine tingling or your demented laughter coming!
The Strange Vibes Horror & Weird Fiction Podcast is accessible through Substack, and we're connecting to other platforms such as Spotify and YouTube Podcasts. Come, creepy friends and weirdos! Take a journey with us.

Audio Submissions
Welcome aboard, strange authors! We have plenty of stories and are seeking short shorts (2-5 min), poetry and flash fiction. We know there's a great vocal thespian lurking inside you, and some are bursting to get out.
Send your audio in MP3 or WAV format, with the word "Audio" & story name in the title, to sylviakayrose@gmail.com.
This round of submissions is open til June 1 2026. It's a half-hour broadcast and we're planning several weeks in advance.
Accepting:
Short Shorts & Poetry - Got some flash? Waxing poetic? We're seeking flash fiction, short shorts up to 5 minutes in length, poetry up to 2 minutes, as filler material. Grease up those vocal cords and give us the best of your wild, horrific and uncanny flash, poems or short fiction.
We don't ask for exclusive rights or first publication rights, and you retain copyright. If your work's been published, be sure it can be used without causing a conflict.
Audio counts as a publishing credit and can be used in your CV, even if you don't read it yourself (you need to give voice credit to the person who does). We also produce podcast transcripts, so our content is accessible to those with hearing disabilities or other accessibility problems.
We're operating on a non-profit level. It's a new project, and we don't currently pay for audio content. It is, however, a distinct possibility in the future, and meanwhile a prime opportunity to promote yourself through our blog, monthly newsletter and media channels, as well as on the air.
