Squirrels 2: Revenge of the Rodents

Friends! I'm excited to announce that Squirrels 2: Revenge of the Rodents is now on Amazon. Hurray!

In this sequel to Squirrels: Protect Your Nuts, the squirrels once more run amok with bloodthirsty menace in the small Canadian town of Harton's Crossing - and they aren't the only homicidal maniacs around.

Plenty of fun and gory killer squirrel antics, as the Mayor plans a bluegrass Jamboree and the squirrels realize humans are attracted to music. H'mm.

Can suspended cop Colin Mackenzie, coronor Donna Young, and a group of quirky characters stop the madness and save the town?

Legends of November

In Germany, the season of Karneval (Carnival) begins at the 11th hour of the 11 day of the 11th month. Parades, noisy processions, loud music, fright masks, dancing and bonfires scare away the host of evil spirits roaming the deep November night. It continues over the Feast of Frau Holle (Dec 25 - Jan 5/6) and ends when the chill leaves the air and food starts of spoil, leading to Fat Thursday, when people traditionally ate and drank everything likely to go bad as natural refrigeration failed.

On the Lighter Side

Timeless Words of Wisdom: Writers' Quotes for You

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” -  Maya Angelou

“You have to write the book that wants to be written. And if the book will be too difficult for grown-ups, then you write it for children.” ― Madeleine L'Engle

“We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.” ― Kurt Vonnegut

Here in the north, the Witch of November can bring sudden storms from a clear blue sky, nasturtiums offer their final vibrant blooms, and we wish a Happy Thanksiving to our American friends. Nasturtiums (below) are not just beautiful, they're edible and leaves have a mild peppery zing to brighten up your day. Graze and enjoy.

Cheers,

Sylvia
